Issue/Introduction

Run Smarts Assurance as non-root user on Linux systems.

Environment

SMARTS - 10.1.x

Resolution

Smarts Domains must be installed as root. But then it can run as a non-root user on Linux Servers. The --privopen and run-as-user options are used in conjunction to run a Domain Manager with non root privileges. The Domain Manager can startup as root, open privileged ports, and change to a non root user.
