Issue/Introduction

• Removing startup cache files cause "Compare Run/Start" error in VoyenceControl
• Receive the following error in VoyenceControl (see Note statement):

ERROR: $VOYENCE_HOME/data/appserver/pops/pop****/cm/cache/****.start-config (No such file or directory)

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - NCM

Cause

The start-config file is missing from the in VoyenceControl application server.

Resolution

Pull the configuration after a configuration change is made to the device. This will populate a new revision and create the missing start-config cache file.

Additional Information

$VOYENCE_HOME refers to the home directory for VoyenceControl, typically /opt/voyence or C:/Program Files/Voyence Control.
