This issue may occur if the keyboard and mouse preferences are corrupted during the upgrade. To resolve this issue, you must create a new Keyboard & Mouse profile.
Process to create a new Keyboard & Mouse profile:
Power off the virtual machine.
Go to VMware Fusion > Preferences.
Select Keyboard & Mouse.
Set the Keyboard & Mouse Profile drop down to Default.
Power on the virtual machine and check if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, go to VMware Fusion > Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse.
From the Keyboard & Mouse Profile drop-down, click Edit Profile.
