Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Trying to mount an NFSv3 File Share residing on a vSAN datastore using the primary IP address fails.

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.0.x

Cause

The primary IP address can not be used for accessing all NFSv3 shares.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:
  1. Open vSphere UI client
  2. Go to Cluster > Configure > vSAN > File Shares
  3. Select the share you want to mount
  4. Click the COPY URL button and use the mount address provided
