Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • When creating a new replication in Cloud Director Availability 4.x, you see an error similar to:
Operation canceled due to an unexpected error
  • In the /opt/vmware/h4/replicator/log/replicator.log file on the source Replicator or source On-Premises appliance, you see an error similar to:

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Cause

This issue occurs when one or more virtual machines in the underlying vCenter inventory has a network interface without an identifier causing the error to occur when attempting to evaluate the value.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Cloud Director Availability 4.6.1, available at Broadcom Downloads.
