"This vm/Vapp does not have the same encryption as the source" error when selecting replication seeds in Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When trying to configure an On-Premises to Cloud replication using a seed VM, the VM is greyed out and you are unable to select it.
• Moving your cursor over the information button next to the seed VM you see a banner similar to:

This vm/Vapp does not have the same encryption as the source.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Cause

This issue can occur in the Cloud Director Availability Portal when the encryption status of the vApp the seed VM resides in is set to undefined in Cloud Director.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Cloud Director Availability 4.2, available at VMware Downloads.
