Environment

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.x

Cause

This issue can occur when the Cloud Director Availability credentials have not been updated in vCloud Usage Meter and it is still attempting to connect to Cloud Director Availability using the old credentials, locking the root account.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, update the Cloud Director Availability credentials in vCloud Usage Meter.

For more information, see the How do I add VMware Cloud Director Availability instance for metering section of the vCloud Usage Meter documentation.

Additional Information

For more information on unlocking the root account, see How to reset the root password for a Cloud Director Availability PhotonOS appliance.

Note: If you don't wish to change the root password again, you can skip steps 9 and 10 in the above article.
