Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • Logging into the vCloud Availability Portal fails for tenant level users with the error:
Authentication failed.
  • Accessing the vCloud Availability plugin via the vCloud Director Tenant Portal, it fails to load and you see the following message:
The service at https://vcav.corp.local:443 is currently not accessible.

Cause

Resolution

To resolve this issue, assign any tenant user you wish to give vCloud Availability access the Organization Administrator role.

For information on assigning roles to users in vCloud Director, see the Managing Users, Groups and Roles section of the vCloud Director documentation.
