"check online" system upgrade option not available in VMware Cloud Foundation aware vRealize Lifecyle Manager

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• vRealize Lifecycle Manager is configured in vCF aware mode
• The vRealize Lifecycle Manager system upgrade does not have "check online" option.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

The check online version is not available on vCF aware deployments of vRealize Lifecycle Manager. This is by design in order to restrict the vRLCM version upgraded based on the versions supported by the specific VMware Cloud Foundation release.

 

Resolution

To upgrade vRealize Lifecycle Manager in vCF aware mode leverage the existing upgrade options in the UI.
