Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Attempts to assign a vRealize Suite Advanced license key to a standalone Aria Automation Orchestrator instance configured with vSphere authentication fail with:

Error! Invalid serial number <License key>

Environment

VMware vRealize Orchestrator 8.x

Cause

The issue occurs because the corresponding DLF to the vRealize Suite Advanced per Core TERM License is not included in Orchestrator.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in the upcoming Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.13 release.

Workaround:

To workaround the issue you can configure the Aria Automation Orchestrator instance to authenticate against a vRealize automation instance using the desired license key.

If configuring Aria Automation Orchestrator for authentication against vRealize Automation is not an attractive option you can alternatively apply one of the following license keys which offers the same functionality.

• VMware Aria Automation
• VMware Aria Suite Advanced or Enterprise
• vCloud Suite Advanced or Enterprise
