"404 page not found" error when trying to access Aria Automation/Orchestrator using a DNS alias or CNAME

Issue/Introduction

Trying to access Aria automation/Orchestrator portal and receiving "404 page not found" error.

Environment

Aria Automation/Orchestrator 8.x

Cause

Using DNS alias or CNAME is not supported with Aria Automation/Orchestrator 8.x.

 

Resolution

Aria Automation/Orchestrator is only accessible through the FQDN used during deployment.

If you do not want to access Aria Automation/Orchestrator by the name of the host then you can do scale out and specify the desired name of the load balancer address to be used for access.

Placing a Load balancer in front of a standalone Aria Automation 8.x node is not a supported configuration.
