Issue/Introduction

This article describes the current behavior of Aria Automation 8.x when an element is deleted from an array.

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Resolution

The example below outlines the behaviour when an element of an array is deleted from a custom resource object.

Element1-index0
Element2-index1
Element3-index2

If Element1 is deleted then the index of the array will now appear as

Element2-index0
Element3-index1

This behaviour needs to be given consideration in the design phase of any solutions leveraging arrays.
