Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Onboarded Deployments are not consuming resources from the project allocation in vRealize Automation releases prior to 8.10.1

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Cause

This was an existing feature limitation in the product.

Resolution

The vRealize Automation 8.10.1 release allows the option to have onboarded resources count towards project allocations. Under Resource Limits the Use placements toggle needs to be set to on when onboarding.

The default setting is off which is consistent with the previous behaviour where onboarded resources are not factored into resource allocations.
