New content added via content sharing policy not immediately visible in vRealize Automation

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

When a global catalog item is re-added to a content source, the policy enforcement only happens for a few projects and so the items only displays in the catalog for a subset of the projects instead of all the projects for which the item is entitled.

Environment

VMware vRealize Automation 8.x

Resolution

The issue is resolved in the vRealize Automation 8.10 release

Workaround:

To workaround the issue:

1. Create a dummy Cloud template in each project.
2. Release it to catalog for each project.
3. Create a content source for each project.

The correct content should now all be visible
