Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
After upgrading Aria Automation to version 8.13 the 'Resize' day 2 operation is failing with an "Internal Server Error ". The provisioning service logs located under /var/log/services-logs/prelude/provisioning-service-app/file-logs/provisioning-service-app.log show a NullPointerException for the ReservationUpdateTaskService:
WARN provisioning [host='provisioning-service-app-<id>' thread='xn-index-updates-24' user='<username>' org='<org_id>' trace='<trace_id>' parent='<parent_id>' span='<span_id>'] c.v.a.r.ReservationUpdateTaskService.log:454 - [8282/provisioning/requests/reservation-update-tasks/<id>] Unexpected exception. Error: java.lang.NullPointerException at com.vmware.admiral.request.ReservationUpdateTaskService.patchComputeState(ReservationUpdateTaskService.java:455)

Cause
The error was introduced by a code change for a new feature.
Resolution
The issue is resolved in the Aria Automation 8.14 release. Workaround: There is no workaround available for the issue.
