Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
A workflow variable “var1” has a value in the Workflow variables tab, and a conditional value set through the User Interaction Designer, where the conditions depend on some other field’s value –  “textfield1” for example.

In Aria Orchestrator, when the User interaction form is first loaded, “var1”’s input field is set to the value of “var1” in the Workflow variables tab. But after changes are made to field “textfield1”, the conditional value rules take effect and change the value of the “var1” variable. This is the expected desired behavior

In Aria Automation, when the User interaction form is first loaded, “var1”’s input field is set to the value of “var1” in the Workflow variables tab, as expected. However, any changes to “textfield1” do not cause the value of “var1” to also change in accordance with the conditions set in the Designer. This is the issue described in this knowledge base article

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.12.x

Resolution

The issue is resolved in the Aria Automation 8.13.1 release.
