Resolution

  • User-defined tags for Cloud Machines on the Cloud Template in Aria Automation do not pass the tag data to the disks. This issue is addressed in VMware Aria Automation 8.14.

  • Please be aware that on AWS, Service Control Policies can be used alongside tag policies to ensure that the tags are applied at the resource creation time and remain attached to the resource. If there are tag policies in place for volume resources on AWS, deployments generated from earlier versions of Aria Automation may fail with the aforementioned reason.
