Before you can create a vRealize Automation 7.x integration endpoint and manage on-prem workloads using VMware Aria Automation, you must first subscribe to a VMware Aria Universal Suite License.

  • You have the correct license installed.

Cause

Despite the correct license being applied to grant access to the feature the provider.vra.feature.enabled feature flag is not enabled.

Resolution

  1. Login to Aria Automation SaaS UI.
  2. Select the required Org from dropdown.
  3. Navigate to configuration Properties URL: https://www.mgmt.cloud.vmware.com/automation/#/service/automation-ui/provisioning-ui;ash=%2FconfigurationProperties
  4. Click on button to add - "New Configuration Property"
  5. New pop-up will be shown on UI to add key and value
  6. Add key:  provider.vra.feature.enabled
  7. Add value: true
  8. Click on create button.

Steps to validate:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure -> Integrations -> Add Integrations
  2. For vRealize Automation 7.x, UI should no longer display "License required" message on the tile.
  3. Selecting the tile should start displaying New Integration form on UI.
