Aria Automation Active Directory Integration does not remove Active Directory records for onboarded machines

Issue/Introduction

At the time of writing this article the Aria Automation Active Directory Integration does not currently remove Active Directory records on destroy for onboarded machines.

This is a known limitation of the Active Directory integration affecting onboarded machines only.

 A feature request has been raised to support inclusion of this functionality in a future Aria Automation release.

Resolution

To workaround the issue in the interim you can leverage the extensibility component to check for and remove the active directory records of the onboarded machines when they are destroyed.

The out of the box Aria Orchestrator workflows for Destroy a Computer and Destroy a computer and delete its subtree can be called using an EBS subscription configured to run during a topic such as ComputeRemoval.
