Issue/Introduction

Sharing VVOL datastores across multiple vSphere environments is supported.  However, it is up to the partner VASA provider to provide the documentation and behavior of what is supported by each vendor.  This includes the limitations, requirements, and best practices for the correct configuration when sharing datastore across multiple vSphere environments.


Symptoms:
When you are adding VVOL datastores across multiple vSphere environments.

VMware vCenter Server 6.7.x
VMware vCenter Server 8.0
VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Please check with your current VASA provider to identify requirements, limitations, configuration, best practices, and supported features for your shared VVOL datastore within multiple vSphere environments.
