Issue/Introduction
This is to help understand another reason why the VRMS appliance will not register to a vCenter
Symptoms: After installing a VRMS appliance on a vCenter it fails to configure to the vCenter
Cause
You see the errors in the hms-configuration.log or the hms.log
vSphere Replication Appliance configuration error:Invalid argument: applianceAddress. Details: Unable to locate VM with address <VRMS FQDN or IP> into the vCenter Server inventory.
Check to see that the VRMS appliance is located in the Inventory of the same vCenter as you are trying to configure it to.
Resolution
Either migrate the VRMS appliances to the correct vCenter you are trying to register it to or deploy a new VRMS ovf to the correct vCenter.
