Issue/Introduction

To provide steps to restore the Intelligence UI back it its original state before deployment.


Symptoms:

  • Customer removed NAPP + associated applications from NSX
  • After which, the "Discover & Take Action" and/or the "NSX Intelligence" UI pages do not load. 
    • The page spins for several minutes before displaying a "Something went wrong" error
  • "Threat and detection tab" will still show up. 

 

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Any version of NAPP 

Cause

Stale entries of NAPP plugin causes this

Resolution

Validate the below :

(1) Perform the following to API call to check if any plugins with respect to NAPP is present. Please contact broadcom support for further assistance after getting the output for UI plugins.

GET nsx_manager_fqdn/policy/api/v1/ui-controller/remote-ui-plugins

 

1. Platform UI - which is displayed under System => NSX Application Platform

2. Intelligence UI - which is under Plan & Troubleshoot.

3. NDR UI - which is under Threat Detection and Response

4. Malware UI - which is under Security - Malware Prevention

 

 

(2) Please follow below step to remove/reset these plugins manually :

  (a) Delete Platform UI Plugin

DELETE:  https://<nsx-manager-ip>/policy/api/v1/ui-controller/remote-ui-plugins/platform-ui

 

(b) Delete Intelligence UI Plugin

Please contact broadcom support to get assistance  in reseting the intelligence (pace-ui) plugin.

 (c) Delete NDR UI Plugin

 

DELETE  https://<nsx-manager-ip>/policy/api/v1/ui-controller/remote-ui-plugins/ndr-ui

 

(d ) Delete MPS UI Plugin

        DELETE https://<nsx-manager-ip>/policy/api/v1/ui-controller/remote-ui-plugins/antimalware-ui

 

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:

"Discover & Take Action" and/or the "NSX Intelligence" UI pages do not load.
