Issue/Introduction

Title: Alarm for physical_server.physical_server_uninstall_failed
Event ID: physical_server.physical_server_uninstall_failed

Alarm Description:

  • Purpose: Physical Server uninstallation failed.
  • Impact: In this case user will not be able to uninstall transport node from NSX manager.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center

Resolution

Steps to resolve
For 4.0.0 and higher

Recommended Action:

  1. On NSX manager, navigate to System > Fabric > Hosts > Standalone, select the host and click Delete again. In the confirmation dialog box, check Force Delete and click Delete.
  2. On Physical Server, run del nsx if NSX packages are not removed from the host.
    Windows: Go to the NSX CLI directory, PS nsxclibms.bat -c del nsx
    Linux: Run nsxcli -c del nsx

If you contact support for this issue, please include the following data:

  • NSX Manager Logs from all 3 Manager nodes in the cluster.
  • Bare Metal Server (BMS, Linux or Windows) logs via NSX UI.
