Activating SSH Access in HCX

Issue/Introduction

This document contains information about activating SSH access for the HCX manager (Connector or Cloud) using the VAMI.

If during initial deployment of the HCX manager the Enable SSH is unchecked (as shown below), once the HCX manager comes ONLINE after license activation it can not be accessed via SSH.

Resolution

• Login to HCX manager Connector or Cloud 9443 UI as the admin user.
• To activate SSH access, navigate to Appliance Summary and CLICK on Start  - SSH Service under System Level Services.

Now the SSH service satus will change to Running(as shown below).
