[VMC on AWS] "Error occurred while fetching vmca root cert:” error appears in Certificate Management

Issue/Introduction

This article provides information about "Error occurred while fetching vmca root cert:” error message.

Symptoms:

• "Error occurred while fetching vmca root cert:” error appears when the Certificate Management section is clicked.
• This error can be seen in SDDC 1.14 to 1.17.

Cause

The cloudadmin account doesn't have enough privilege to read vmca root cert. This is expected behavior.

Resolution

No action is required, VMC Engineering team is aware of this error message and they are working on it if the error can be suppressed.
This will be resolved in an upcoming release.
