[VMC on AWS] vCenter client does not display the capacity and usage numbers at the folder (and sub-folder) levels

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The vCenter client does not display the capacity and usage numbers at the folder (and sub-folder) levels.

 

• While this information is displayed at other hierarchical elements including the top-level VC, datacenter, cluster, host, resource pool etc



 

Cause

The vCenter UI moved to a different way of fetching the capacity properties for Folder from 7.0 compared to previous releases.

Resolution

This is a known issue and is currently been investigated by VMware Engineering

Workaround:

this information is displayed at other hierarchical elements including the top-level VC, datacenter, cluster, host, resource pool
