Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
You require rDNS/PTR records to be created, updated or deleted based on your business use case.

Resolution

VMware Cloud on AWS Support will facilitate the request.
Contact support and provide the required information:
  • SDDC ID
  • Public IP (EIP)
  • DNS name for the PTR record
After the information is received:
  • The implementation process will be executed.
  • You will receive confirmation that the implementation is complete via the Support Request (SR).
    • Allow at least 1 business day for this to be completed. If there are any issues regarding the implementation, this will also be communicated via the SR.
  • You will then be asked to test that the configuration is working as expected.
