Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When upgrading the below VMware Cloud Foundation versions using SLU (Skip Level Upgrade) tool with VxRail Environment, you may observe both "VxRail 4.7.536-27196817 and vCenter 6.7 U3o (6.7.0-18485166)" bundles become available for update as same time in SDDC Manager UI Bundles Page and Update/Patches tab.
  • From VCF 3.10.2 to 3.10.2.2
or
  • From VCF 3.10.2.1 to 3.10.2.2

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation on VxRail 4.7
VMware vCenter Server 6.7.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 3.10.2.0
VMware Cloud Foundation 3.10.2.1
VMware Cloud Foundation 3.10.2.2

Cause

This is because ESXi 6.7 P05 "17700523" which is supporting both VxRail 4.7.536-27196817 and VxRail 4.7.530-26975664 is same.

So compatibility sets become matching for VXRail 4.7.536-27196817 bundle to be available for upgrade as well..

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, complete vCenter 6.7 Update 3o (6.7.0-18485166) upgrade first and then VxRail 4.7.536-27196817 upgrade can be triggered.
