Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Using the SDDC Manager UI to add ESXi hosts that use VMFS on FC storage fails with the error "No unassigned hosts available". This can happen when:
  • There is an attempt to create a new VI workload domain with ESXi hosts configured to use VMFS on FC storage.  
  • There is an attempt to create a vSphere cluster with ESXi hosts configured to use VMFS on FC storage.
  • There is an attempt to add an ESXi host in an existing vSphere cluster that is configured to use VMFS on FC storage.

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.4

Cause

Filtering issue in the SDDC Manager UI.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, please use the VMware Cloud Foundation API to add ESXi hosts that use VMFS on FC storage as below:
