Issue/Introduction

This document provides information about the scenario where complete recovery from all host vSAN failure is not supported currently for WCP enabled SDDC. 

Symptoms:

• Management VMs does not recover after all host VSAN APD (All Paths Down).
• Unable to access vCenter UI, NSX services, etc.
•  Possible IO errors on VSAN even if VSAN is recovered.
• SSH to ESX and vCenter may/may not work.

Cause

This issue occurred during the testing of all host failure scenarios.

Resolution

Currently, there is no resolution.

Additional Information

Workload Control Plane (WCP) on VMC does not support Multi-AZ deployments. Thus all host failure with storage/network recovery is unpredictable. These types of failure and recovery are to be avoided by users.
