[VMC] Integrating vCenter with VMware Cloud Gateway fails with Time-Synchronization error

Issue/Introduction

To clarify and provide a resolution.

Symptoms:
Following NTP error is seen when trying to integrate the vCenters in the Cloud Gateway:

Environment

VMware vSphere+ Cloud Services

Cause

The cause is the time drift between the Cloud Gateway and the vCenter Server machine.

Resolution

Verify that the clocks on the Cloud Gateway and vCenter Server are synchronized.


Workaround:
Set the time zone of both vCenter and Cloud Gateway to UTC and attempt to register the vCenter.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
This may prevent customers from integrating vCenters into the Cloud Gateway.
