Ransomware Recovery Linux Sensor fails to Install in VLCR Recovery SDDC Version 1.22v2 and older

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install the Carbon black sensor as part of the VLCR Ransomware Service in Linux Guest OS may fail with error "There was a problem installing the security sensor. Failed to install security analysis senor. Check proxy and network config."

Environment

VMC on AWS 1.22v2 and older 

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.27.x

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.26.x

Cause

This is a known issue for SDDC versioning 1.22v2 and lower versions. In the particular NSX versioning associated with SDDC version 1.22v3 would have the known long-term fix.

 

Resolution

Please check the VMC on AWS SDDC version via VMC Console navigation of "Selecting SDDC" --> "Support" tab and verify if SDDC version, is below 1.22v3, if it is then please coordinate a SDDC upgrade with VMC on AWS.
