[VCDR] - CloudDR-Proxy VM is not found at the Recovery SDDC Causing Compliance Checks to Fail

Issue/Introduction

Resolution to resolve CloudDR-Proxy "Internal error. Contact support."


Symptoms:

Compliance Check failure for Cloud Proxy:

"Internal issue, contact support."

This error message can be seen from VCDR Build Version - 7.23.1.0 or later.


Cause

This can be caused if there is a DFW rule that is manually disabled from CloudDR-Proxy CIDR reaching CloudDR-Prefixes.  These rules are automatically created by VMware Cloud DR and may have been administratively disabled.

Resolution

Set VMC on AWS DFW rules .  Step 10 will be of interest to ensure the rule is toggled to 'enable' (green icon to enable the DFW CloudDR-Proxy rule) -

DFW rules of interest to verify toggling:

"CloudDR-SystemRule-CloudDRToProxyVM"
or
"CloudDR-SystemRule-ProxyVMToCloudDR"


Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
Impacts only network traffic communication between VCDR Scale-Out File System and Recovery SDDC's vCenter's CloudDR-Proxy VM.  Internal to the SDDC only.
