Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this knowledge base article is to understand if it is possible to clone or export a VM template from VMware Cloud on AWS to AWS S3 bucket

Resolution

It is not possible to export or clone a template from VMware Cloud on AWS to S3 bucket. This functionality is not supported.

However, it is possible to import the template from S3 bucket to VMware Cloud on AWS refer VMware blog
