[VMC on AWS] vCenter Alert: Unable to apply DRS resource settings on host.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• vCenter Alert:   Unable to apply DRS resource settings on host. .This can significantly reduce the effectiveness of DRS.

Cause

The alert is caused due to backend tasks at the management level of the VMC Infrastructure which is taken care of by VMware.

Resolution

This alert will not have any impact unless it's causing some issues with the host(s) where the alert is present or the VMs deployed.  

Check if there are any disk lock issues on VMs or HA at the cluster level which could have an impact the future vMotion happening in/from the host. So, it is advised to check if the vSphere HA is functioning properly.
