[VMC On AWS] [Internal] Failed to create or update Association Map

Issue/Introduction

To outline the reason for not able to modify or create the association map and to provide the proper method for removing the traffic groups, mappings and prefix lists.

Symptoms:

SDDC has an association map that cannot be modified or created. UI Shows below errors:

• "Failed to create or update association map X.X.X.X map because AWS managed prefix list cannot be decreased in size due to insufficient capacity in SDDC route tables. Please configure ‘Route Aggregation’ under ‘Global Configuration’ tab with INTRANET endpoint and then configure association map again.”

Cause

On Deleting  the prefix list prior to  removing the association map under traffic groups can cause the issue.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in SDDC version M18 and later releases.

Workaround:

Please open a support request.

Impact/Risks:

Association Map is grayed out which will indeed cause a road block in adding a new prefix-list
