VMware Cloud on AWS

Issue/Introduction

VMware Cloud on AWS SDDCs are deployed with a vCenter Certificate that is valid for 365 days. VMware is responsible for vCenter Certificate rotation, and this is done as part of an SDDC Upgrade. In circumstances where an SDDC Upgrade has not been performed in the last 335 days, customers will see a warning in the vSphere Client indicating that their vCenter Certificate is about to expire.

Resolution

If an SDDC Upgrade is planned before the vCenter Certificate expires, then a notification will be sent to the customer indicating that the Certificate will be updated as part of the upgrade process.

If an SDDC Upgrade is NOT planned before the vCenter Certificate expires, then a notification is sent to the customer requesting a maintenance window to rotate the vCenter Certificate.
