[VMC] How to verify if TRIM/UNMAP is enabled for vSAN in an SDDC

Issue/Introduction

• By default, Trim/Unmap is not enabled on a cluster in a VMC on AWS SDDC.
• Guidance on how to verify if the TRIM/UNMAP feature for a vSAN cluster is enabled can be found in the resolution.

Environment

VMC on AWS

Resolution

• Login to SDDC vCenter via vSphere UI.
• Select the Cluster. 
• Navigate to Configure -> vSAN -> Services. 
• Expand the Advanced Options tile and look for Guest Trim/Unmap as shown in the screenshot:

• Alternatively, you can leverage VMware PowerCli for vSAN and use the Get-VsanClusterConfiguration cmdlet
