Issue/Introduction
This article provides the steps to identify the disk space utilization by analyzing the capacity overview information.
Resolution
The capacity overview information, gives detailed description regarding the disk space that has been provisioned, which includes the space utilized by the resources (such as Virtual Machines) and the available disk space that can be consumed for further usage.
The below Figure 1 gives complete idea on how to analyze the disk space utilized.

In the above figure, the total disk space provisioned is 134 TB, out of which the disk space that has been utilized by resources is 91 TB and the free disk space that is available for further consumption is 43 TB.

Additional Information
In order to see more detailed breakdown of disk usage, follow the below steps:
1. Choose the Cluster
2. Navigate to "Monitor" tab
3. Click on vSAN view to confirm.
Provisioned space is partly counted in used space to account for future growth of thin-provisioned VMs.
