This article describes the deprecation vCenter Server Appliance 6.0 using an Oracle database and the implications for support.

Resolution

Support for Oracle databases backing the vCenter Server Appliance are deprecated in vSphere 6.0. During an upgrade, your Oracle database is fully supported and continues to function on vCenter Server Appliance 6.0. In future releases of vSphere, Oracle database will no longer be supported.
