Symptoms:
After upgrading VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle to 8.14 version the VCF lcm log snippets look similar to the one mentioned below.:
YYYY-MM-DDT## ERROR [vcf_lcm,#######,###] [c.v.e.s.l.a.i.InventoryClientHelper,http-nio-127.0.0.1-7400-exec-8] Failed to compare VRSLCM version with VCF 4.0.0.0 BOM version in domain ##########Domain ID############
VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.2
VMware Cloud Foundation 5.1.x
Vmware Cloud Foundation 5.1
This issue happens when vRSLCM version gets updated in SDDC inventory but the build number does not get updated which causes the next bundle to be unavailable.
Currently there is no resolution to the issue. This will be addressed in the future release.
Workaround:
To workaround the issue, please execute:
psql -h localhost -U postgres -d platform -c "update vrslcm set version='8.14.0-${build_number}'"
systemctl restart lcm
Note: ${build_number} must be replaced with the expected VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle build number.
