VxRail Upgrade fails with Socket Timeout Exception (Read Timeout) in VCF while succeeds in VCenter

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
VxRail Post Upgrade Validation fails due to Read Timeout with Exception as below in lcm-debug.log:

[c.v.e.s.l.p.i.vxm.VxmPrimitiveImpl,Upgrade-14] Could not get VxManager version
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
        at java.base/java.net.SocketInputStream.socketRead0(Native Method)

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.0.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0.x
VMware Cloud foundation 5.x

Cause

This issue occurs due to a slow network or VxManager VM still booting up (aka services not up) even when we try to query the upgraded version.

Resolution

Currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:
Follow the below mentioned steps:

1. Login to SDDC Manager UI.
2. Navigate to workload domain on which upgrade was triggered.
3. Verify that VxRail upgrade is shown as failed under "Updates" tab of the domain.
4. Retry upgrade.
