VMware Cloud Foundation 5.0.0.1 release bundle visible on updates/ patches page for 4.5.2 users

Issue/Introduction

For dark site or air gapped users, VCF 4.5.2 users will see a 5.0.0.1 release bundle on the updates/patches page. This bundle is not an applicable bundle for VCF 4.5.2. However clicking on the update now or schedule update buttons will not apply the bundle on the setup.

Scheduling immediate update of bundle fails. Bundle [0] not found in applicable upgrades, nor found in scheduled upgrades.

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.5.2

Resolution

This issue is caused due to a bug in the code. This issue only occurs for back in time releases, it will not occur after VCF 5.0 and future release.
