Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

vCenter Upgrade fails at post validation stage in VCF 4.4.0.0


Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.4.0

Cause

The vCenter upgrade sequence was modified starting 7.0 U3C (build-19234570). The reboot happens after the status changed to UP_TO_DATE. Previously, UP_TO_DATE was returning after the reboot happens.

Resolution


The issue is resolved in VCF 4.4.1.0.


Workaround:

To workaround the issue, please follow the below steps:

  1. Login to SDDC Manager UI.

  2. Wait for the vCenter upgrade to be available.

  3. Retry the upgrade.
