Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Password update of PSC SSO fails with error message:
'The LogInsight vCenter Adapter did not accept the new SSO credentials. Please manually update the vCenter adapter for LogInsight.LogInsight update credential operation failed'.

In operationsmanager.log, following comes as an error message:
{"errorMessage":"Configuration with specified hostname do not exist.","errorCode":"VSPHERE_INTEGRATION_ERROR","errorDetails":{"errorCode":"com.vmware.loginsight.api.errors.vsphere.configuration_does_not_exist"}}

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.x

Cause

This issue happens when vCenter server entries are deleted from vRLI-vSphere integration.

Resolution

VCF 4.x is immune to this issue as it is using vRLI APIs to determine integrated vCenter servers.

Workaround:

To workaround the issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to vRLI UI.
  2. Click on the hamburger icon on top left corner, select 'Administration', choose vSphere from 'Integration' section.
  3. For each vCenter, select 'ADD VCENTER SERVER', provide the hostname of the vCenter, username & password of the PSC SSO account, click on 'TEST CONNECTION', click on 'save' and wait for the configuration to complete.
  4. Retry the password update operation, it should pass now.
