VMware’s Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) enables VMware to provide environments with a proactive, reliable, and consistent vSphere environment and experience.
CEIP collects configuration, feature usage, and performance information. No personally identifiable information is collected.
To use the vSphere Health's online health checks, environments must enroll in the CEIP. If not enrolled in CEIP, online health checks remain disabled.
For additional information on CEIP and the data collected, refer to VMware's Trust & Assurance Center.
To enable CEIP, follow the below steps.
In the vSphere Client:
Alternatively, navigate to the CEIP through the button “Configure CEIP” in the description of the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) health check inside vSphere Health (aka Skyline Health).
vSphere Health requires both CEIP to be enabled and internet connectivity between vCenter and VMware to send telemetry and make use of the cloud connected services.
