Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the changes that occurred due to the changes made on VMware Recertification policy.

Resolution

• Starting February 5th,2019, VMware has removed the requirement to recertify the VMware certifications within the duration of two-year.
• With the removal of Recertification policy, any certificate which had expired earlier, will be back to active state for lifetime.

• These certificates can be viewed or downloaded anytime from the Certificate Manager Portal.
• Upgrade paths will still apply for active certifications. Hence, candidates need to upgrade the Certification path to keep their certificates up-to-date.
• If candidates want to upgrade a certificate in the same or different track, they can skip the course and just pass the exam only, within the previous three versions.
