This article provides steps for scheduling VMware Certification Exams in Pearson VUE portal.
Resolution
- Pearson VUE is VMware's official testing partner who delivers VMware Certification examinations and maintains all exam appointments and errors.
- As per the update from Pearson Vue, a user can take all the proctored exams remotely, starting 20th April 2020.
- All exams will be available for remote proctored delivery starting from April 20, 2020, except for the VCAP Deploy lab-based exams: We are already working on it and hope to be able to provide them remotely soon.
- This allows you to take the exam from any secure place and is a permanent option, regardless of whether in-person testing venues are available in the future. The fee of each exam is unchanged.
- Candidates can schedule their exam appointments with options to either take it in test centers or from their home/office.
Steps to schedule a VMware Certification Exam:
1. Login to your VMware learning account
2. Click on “MyEnrollments” option
3. Click on the 'Certification Manager' link found in the “Certifications” section (You will be redirected to Certification Manager Portal)
4. Click on "Schedule your exam" option (You will be redirected to Pearson VUE Portal)
5. For candidates who are scheduling the VMware Certification Exam for the first time, they need to update their details and click on “Confirm and Continue to Single Sign-On to Pearson VUE"
6. Click on “View Exams"
7. Select the exams that you are eligible for (all exams are open for registration, even if you have not yet met the requirements prior to taking the exam. Courses and exams can be taken in any order, but no certification can be granted until all requirements are completed).
8. Select the preferred mode of exam and proceed with the steps.
9. For exams that are taken at a testing center (VCP; VCAP): Select your Testing Center.
10. Choose your preferred Date and Time for the exam
Note: For Online Non-Proctored exams, you will not be able to schedule the exam for a future date.
11. Enter your payment information (if you hold any voucher, update it under voucher/promotion code)
12. Click "Proceed to Checkout"
13.Click "Submit order" to complete the exam registration
Note: Cancellation or rescheduling can be done only from the user's end and there are no charges applied.
For all proctored exams scheduled at test centers, candidates must cancel or reschedule at least one business day before their exam appointments.
