Issue/Introduction

VMware is announcing an extension of End of General Support (EoGS) date for VMware Avi Load Balancer (previously known as VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer) release 21.1.x.

 

The EoGS date has been extended from 31st March 2024 to 31st December 2024.

Notes:

1. This extension is being provided solely to enable customers to upgrade to a current recommended release. As of 31st January 2024, the recommended release is 22.1.5. Refer to ​​VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi) Release Notifications (90370) for latest release notifications.
2. In addition, customers using Avi Basic Edition are strongly recommended to move to Avi Enterprise or Enterprise with Cloud Services, given the announcement of End of Availability (EoA) of Avi Basic Edition. Please refer to https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/96386 for details on Avi Basic EoA and EoGS.
3. 21.1.6 is the last maintenance release. No further maintenance releases will be provided.
4. No additional bug fixes will be provided for this release.
5. No further extension will be provided beyond the EoGS date.
