When VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) runs the failover operation, you experience these symptoms:
- If the protected datastores are used as the heartbeat datastores by vSphere HA, ESXi hosts lose the datastore heartbeat resulting in vSphere HA not functioning correctly.
Cause
This issue occurs because the heartbeat datastores are selected when configuring vSphere HA.
Resolution
To avoid this issue, manually select the datastores that are not protected by SRM as the heartbeat datastores.
